OUR VISION

OUR VISION is for a GULF OF MEXICO and GULF COAST that is safe for the mighty BROWN PELICAN and all living creatures.  

It is a GULF of HOPE - one filled with beauty, not void of life.  

It is a GULF of SPIRIT - vast in its wonder, open and abundent for all soaring and swimming creatures.

It is a GULF that is OPEN TO POSSIBILITIES afforded through its protection and restoration.

OUR MISSION

OUR MISSION is to encourage, find AND FUND projects which seek to fulfill our collective vision, while also bringing continuous and ever-lasting attention to the needs related to maintaining and fortifying the BEAUTY, which is THE GULF - providing a haven and harbor for the amazing creatures dependent upon it, led and watched over by the majestic, ever-present, ever-watchful BROWN PELICAN.

OUR AWARDS

OUR AWARDS are not as numerous or generous as we would like, but through our review and assessment process, our awards are placed in the hands of those who will - and do - MAKE AN IMPACT in the betterment of The Gulf.

OUR AWARDS are focused on activities in the affected and affecting five (5) states of the Gulf Coast:  Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas.  Our Awards fund projects that support, protect, restore, and promote same.

Categories:  Impactful Organization Projects, Outstanding Community Projects, Individual Achievement & Projects, Brown Pelican Direct, and the Founder's Award.

WE ARE

WE ARE THE 100.  The Brown Pelican Society is 100 committed individuals who represent the five (5) Gulf Coast states.  The 100 respect The Gulf.  The 100 love The Gulf.  The 100 look to the Brown Pelican as a leader, a catalyst and a reminder of what is important.  The 100 work to bring funding to The Gulf - all its inhabitants, and its creatures - above and below.  The 100 work to bring attention to The Gulf and its needs with the embracing of The Brown Pelican as a symbol of RESILIENCE; a symbol with an ability TO SOAR.
